The Hands Off Mother Earth (HOME) Alliance is a diverse alliance of civil society groups, including Indigenous Peoples’ organizations, frontline communities, and organizations focused on human rights, climate justice, gender justice, Indigenous Peoples’ rights, and struggles against all forms of oppression.

Launched in 2010 at the World People’s Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth in Bolivia, HOME was and continues to be at the forefront of resistance against geoengineering, the large-scale and deliberate technological manipulation of land, oceans, and the atmosphere, and supports preventing real-world deployment of outdoor experiments.

In 2018, we launched the HOME Manifesto, which was signed by nearly 200 organizations. Today, in 2025, we are relaunching it with updated demands to reflect the escalating ecological, social and economic injustices that intersect with and exacerbate the climate crisis. 

In light of new political and on-the-field developments, the worsening of the climate crisis and its impacts,  we’ve revisited and revised the Manifesto and our demands to reflect these changing and urgent realities, and we are sending a clear message: we will not allow geoengineering to hijack our future!

The new HOME Manifesto is a renewed collective statement rejecting false solutions, opposing the dangerous distraction of geoengineering to the climate crisis and reaffirming our commitment to real, transformative, rights-based, and gender-just solutions to the climate crisis. 

Our home, lands, oceans, and sky are not a laboratory for risky and manipulative planetary-scale technologies. We will not allow geoengineers, corporations, and governments to gamble with the planet.
