HOME Alliance joins the 64th session of the Subsidiary Bodies of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (SB64). At these negotiations, key discussions on climate issues continue to shape the future of global climate action. As in previous sessions, these spaces are also being used to advance risky and unproven technological “solutions,” including geoengineering approaches.
The Hands Off Mother Earth Alliance is present at SB64 to keep an eye on these false solutions and dangerous distractions, and challenge these dangerous trajectories. We are also at the Bonn Climate Camp to amplify frontline voices and build collective power and resistance. Join us in Bonn for side events and press conferences.

Stop Geoengineering: Our Home is Not a Laboratory
Learn about the risks of geoengineering at a side event organized by HOME Alliance and Climate Action Network International at the Bonn Climate Camp. Geoengineering is being pushed as a “climate solution” but it is a false solution and a dangerous distraction that does nothing to address the roots of the climate crisis. This knowledge sharing session will build shared understanding and strengthen our collective response to the growing risks of geoengineering.

Not Our Solution: Global South Civil Society Rejects Geoengineering
This press conference will bring together movement voices from Africa, Asia and Latin America rejecting the Global South as a testing ground for geoengineering experiments. Speakers will highlight the risks of geoengineering schemes, links to carbon markets and the ongoing legacy of extractivism and climate colonialism.
