Webinar and Toolkit Lauch: Demystifying land-based geoengineering – Why these “solutions” are incompatible with climate justice

The HOME Alliance invites you to join an upcoming webinar exploring the growing risks and impacts of land-based geoengineering. Approaches such as BECCS (Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage), biochar, and enhanced weathering are gaining traction. But what do these schemes mean for communities, ecosystems, and climate justice?

Join Our Webinar

We will hold two sessions to accommodate various timezones to bring together civil society actors, researchers, and campaigners to critically examine:

  • Impacts and risks of land-based geoengineering technologies and key projects
  • Policy spaces where geoengineering is being pushed
  • How civil society is doing to resist this dangerous distraction

We will also launch our new civil society toolkit on land-based geoengineering, designed to:

  • Build understanding of key technologies
  • Highlight risks and impacts
  • Support advocacy and resistance efforts

While the two sessions will cover the same core content, each will feature regional specific case studies and projects, ensuring a shared global understanding alongside regional insights.
